After getting up, we had breakfast and headed for Sarahan. Sarahan is located at a diversion from Chandigarh that goes on top. Sarahan is a base camp and housing of many Militia. We reached Hotel HPTDC Sri Khand which is owned and managed by HP Govt.

We were a bit tired and thought of resting in the hotel the remaining day. We watched TV, had dinner and went to sleep.

The view from our camp was simply breath taking overlooking the mountains and pine trees. This place had a lot of monitor himalayan lizards. It also had a camp fire. Their garden was well maintained.

We clicked a few nature macro flower photos and then went back to our camp. We watched movie for some time and then we left for chitkul lake. Chitkul lake is in Chitkul Village and its the last village of India.

The road from Sangla to Chitkul is extremely picturesque and full of lush greens. Its one of the most beautiful places in Himachal.

After the visit to the lake, we were very hungry as we had not had lunch and hence we stopped by at Rupin River View Hotel for some snacks and we got some outstanding food there.

We then headed back to our camp, had dinner, watched movie and went to sleep.

We got up early, clicked a few pics of ourselves and left for Sangla as it was going to be a long journey. Soon we got stuck on the way due to a landslide.

We were stranded for hours there. We decided to have lunch in the meanwhile. We took a back turn and searched for a hotel nearby. It was a hotel owned and managed by the Military – Om Hotel & Restaurant in Pooh.

We had heavy meal – Thali there and then again reached the same spot of landslide hoping that we would be free by now but unfortunately the work was still going on. We watched a movie in the car on our Macbook Pro to pass some time. Finally at 5.45pm (from 12.30pm) we were freed from the landslide work.

It was a bit dark and by now we would have already reached our next camping place. On our way we documented and captured quite a few pics and especially videos! On the way our car also had got punctured. There was no Car Puncture Repair shop on the way so we could not get the punctured tire repaired on the way.

It was quite risky as it was very dark and the road was extremely bad. We then halted on the way at Hotel Dev Bhoomi Regency for Dinner as it was very late evening and our chances at getting dinner at our camp was looking difficult.

After having Aloo Parantha again with one of the most pathetic veg dishes – aloo palak, we then proceeded to our camp. It was located downhill quite a few turns. The road was extremely narrow and bad.

After reaching, we were super glad that our camp had got an attached washroom and also a power point!!!…
