Ladakh Trip Day 2: Pahalgam-Srinagar
The Journey Continues….
We got up at around 9.00am, had our breakfast (Aloo Parathas, Curd & Pickle), checked out from the hotel and headed for a Pony Ride from there.
On the pony ride, we covered 3 breathtaking places:
1. Top view of Pahalgam from Kashmir Valley.
3. Baisaran (Mini Switzerland)
I was sitting on Mastana & he was quite a mischievous and adventurous pony! On our way, we had a nice long chat with our pony guides and came to know a lot about the place we traveled.
Our 1st point was Kashmir Valley. The next was Dabian & the final point was Baisaran also known as Mini Switzerland (It truly was…Mini Swiss!)
We halted at Mini Switzerland for a bit. There, we met 2 young lovely kids. One was carrying on her arms a goat and the other one, a rabbit. We clicked pictures with them, offered them a few sweets and gave some money. We advised them to pursue studies and education.
Then we headed down to Pahalgam Market and had lunch at Nathu’s Rasoi again.
After quickly grabbing a bite of Chole Bhature, we immediately headed for Srinagar. On our way, we saw the beautiful Dal Lake. Then we had a stop at the Heritage Mughal Garden Nishat.
Nishat Baug is situated on the banks of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop. The Heritage Mughal Garden Nishat, has terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flower beds with the panorama of Dal lake in it’s foreground.
We then took a brief halt at Jamal Resorts & Carpet Industries. We saw some really well made & artistic shawls (pashmina), carpets, jackets & other woolens.…
