It is always an enjoyable & a challenging experience when you get to shoot something different, regale and exclusive like the spanking Brand New Concept Office of Kolte Patil Developers. Doing the photo shoot was an amazing experience even more so because of our client – Studio 5.

They are an amazing team of bright, talented & very hard-working individuals who not only have an obsession towards the work they do but also have a fine eye for details.

When we got to do a recce of the office they had designed for a very privileged client, we were truly excited to do the photo shoot. This office reflects a very regale, luxurious, opulent, minimal but at the same time very functional approach to interior design.

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is jointly organized by Lakmé, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG Reliance, the global leader in sports and entertainment event marketing and management.

Lakme Fashion Week has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world”. LFW is organized twice every year. LFW Summer/Resort 2013 was held from March 22 to March 26th at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai.

Inspired from their visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Ashram at Bangalore, the Mapxencar sisters presented their collection during the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week 2013 on March 23 in Mumbai.

Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar own a fashion label mapxencaRS.

“The idea for this collection came from our visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Ashram at Bangalore,” Riddhi Mapxencar said in Mumbai.

The Mapxencar duo has named their collection as “Son Shringar.” (Lakme Fashion Week 2013 – Grand Hyatt, Mumbai)

“We present the collection of Son Shringar – where anchored by gold, every colour in life comes alive. The collection is meant to inspire you to go within and be pure in soul like gold and yet enhance the life around you,” she said.

“Just as gold cannot be affected by any acid, and is deemed the purest metal, which even when goes through fire, gets only more purified, so also the soul as it goes through the ‘tapa’ of sadhana and dhyana (yoga & meditation) becomes more pure,” Siddhi Mapxencar said explaining the concept. The sister duo will for the first time this season experiment with Indo-western silhouettes for the show.…

The Shagun Tilak Roka Ceremony or Engagement Ceremony marks the beginning of the sikh wedding celebrations. It is also called Tilak, which is performed by a bhaiji (preacher) of the Gurudwara. He reads hymns and then applies a tilak on the groom’s forehead, to mark the engagement ceremony. On this occasion, both the families, exchange gifts in order to confirm the engagement of the couple. The bride’s family takes care of the ceremonial activities of the engagement. As a part of the shagun, a thali containing coconut, dry dates, sugar & money are sent to the groom’s family by the bride’s family.…

This wedding was no different. Akash Madan, the groom is an extremely charismatic, cheerful & fun loving guy. He not only comes across as extremely caring & sweet but he is exactly that in real too. After seeing his pictures we took, I was reminded of The Young Dilip Kumar of his times. See the pictures below & you will find his looks reminiscent of Mr.Dilip Kumar in his younger days. Akash is an MBA Graduate from one of the leading B-Schools in Mumbai & India – Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS).

Although, he is well educated & intelligent, he is at the same time very down to earth & humble. Priti Mhatre, the bride on the other hand is sweet, simple & fun loving too. That’s why they make such a good pair together. Initially when I was clicking Priti’s photographs, I had told her that she didn’t have to pose…just be herself & I would take care of the rest.

But initially, she was a little conscious, but soon she completely transformed herself in front of the camera. It was as if she was not at all camera shy. We had a blast shooting Priti & Akash together. We could capture a lot of candid moments between Akash & Priti as they both shared great on screen chemistry. It truly showed how much they cared, loved & had respect for each other.…

Our experience of doing a photo shoot at The Taj – The Gateway Hotel, has been a dream come true! It was completely an unforgettable & memorable experience right from the very outset! The moment you enter this beautiful property, you get completely carried away by the beautiful & well maintained lush greens. As soon as you get out of the car to enter this magical place, you are greeted with a warm welcome by The Taj Security Guards.

After you enter the gateway hotel, you are totally spoilt for luxury & comfort. To top that, the entire staff at the gateway hotel is extremely friendly, helpful & genuinely caring of their guests & we must say that they really take good care of us. In fact, they go all their way out to make sure that your stay at the gateway hotel is a delightful experience!

In our short visit to the gateway hotel, we made a lot of friends. In fact once we were done with the shoot & our stay, we actually felt a bit heavy leaving the place as we had made such good friends at – The Gateway. The Chef – Mr. Sreeram, Mr Suvendu, Mr. Sweekar, Mr Debraj, Mr. Sandeep, Mr.Banshi, Mr.Mulayam, Miss Sneha & The Manager, all of them were extremely nice, warm & caring!…

Indian Pre Bridal Photography

Pre Bridal Photography is one of our very favourite aspects of wedding photography. Pre Bridal Photography is challenging and at the same time lots of fun to shoot.

We believe that pre wedding photo shoot is a must for every wedding event. We always recommend all our clients to get a pre-bridal or a pre-wedding photo shoot done. Its a time, when the couple is running through a lot of emotions…they are excited & nervous and at the same time tensed & happy as well.

A great way for my couples to get to know me a bit is during our pre bridal or pre wedding day photo sessions. Sometimes the wedding day itself is a bit rushed, and it goes so quickly that it becomes a blur to the Bride and Groom.

I highly recommend having a separate photo session either before the wedding day itself, or the day after is pretty good too! This way you can truly relax, be yourselves and let your personalities show & shine through without the time constraints often presented on the wedding day.

Pre bridal photography is a welcome switch from the traditional wedding day photography to contemporary fashion photography for the couple. Pre-wedding portfolio is an aggregation of photo journalistic and posed images shot by the professional candid wedding photographers.

Once a booking has been made, a pre-wedding shoot is a great way for us to get to know each other better & provides a fun way to get some fantastic pictures of the couple.
